What is REED?

REED, or Rural Early Education Development, is a project that targets to improve the Preschools in rural area in China, and giving a better education to young children.

Why Preschools?

We chose Preschools because of many reasons:

1. It is the most cost-effective human captial investment

2. Early interventions that build the capability base of children have much higher economic returns than later remediation and prevention programs, such as public job training, convict rehabilitation programs, adult literacy programs, tuition subsidies or expenditure on police to reduce crime.
